SRC 31, 0-6-0, 1963
SRC-1963. Here is an original photo that I took near Strasburg, Pennsylvania, on 11 August 1963. Shown here is Strasburg Rail Road engine #31, an 0-6-0 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during August of 1908 ~ some 55 years earlier! It's been uncoupled from our excursion train in Paradise (where the SRC connects with the Pennsylvania Railroad) and is passing around to the other end of our train, where it will be recoupled and then pull the train back to the Strasburg Station. The wires in the background are PRR electrified catenary.
